Terms of Service

General terms and conditions for the ISPOG-Congress from 13.-16. July 2022 in Vienna

1. Scope

The following general terms and conditions regulate the contractual relationship between the participants of the ISPOG-Congress from 13th to 16th July 2022 in Vienna (hereinafter referred to as “participants”), as well as the German Society for Psychosomatic Gynecology and Obstetrics eV (hereinafter referred to as “organizer”). Deviating general terms and conditions are not valid.

2. Registration and confirmation

Registrations are always accepted subject to the available capacities. After receipt of the registration of the participants (online, by post, fax or e-mail), the organizer will send a corresponding written confirmation of registration and invoice (by e-mail or post) for all booked programs within 14 days. This is also the invoice for submission to the tax office. When the confirmation is sent, the registration becomes legally binding.

3. Due date of fees

All fees invoiced by the organizer to the participants are due within 7 days of the invoice date (from four weeks before the start of the event immediately). The use of price reductions granted by the organizer for an early registration date by the participants is also subject to payment of the invoice amount by the end of the respective discounted period. Otherwise, the event can subsequently invoice the difference to the later valid price.

4. Payment Methods

Payment of the fees is possible by bank transfer, credit card or direct debit. Payment by sending cash or checks is not possible; the organizer assumes no liability in the event of loss.

5. Scope of services

The event fee only entitles the holder to attend the designated scientific program during the entire event or on the day in question. If additional fees are charged for individual program items of the scientific program (e.g. seminars, workshops), participation in these programs requires both registration and payment of the corresponding fee for the scientific program on the day in question and registration for the program item.

6. Arrival and overnight stay

Travel and accommodation are to be organized by the participants themselves. The organizer will provide information on hotel accommodation.

7. Cancellations or changes to bookings by the participants

Cancellations of the registration by the participants must be made in writing. Up to 6 weeks before the start of the event, the organizer will charge a processing fee of € 25 if the participants cancel. Participation fees that have already been paid will be immediately reimbursed to the participant minus this processing fee. After this date or in the event of non-appearance at the event, the full participation fee will be charged. The participants are entitled to transfer their registration to another person. A processing fee of € 15 may be charged for this change.

For rebooking by the participants after the registration confirmation / invoice has been sent by the organizer, a processing fee of € 15 can be charged.

Subsequent bookings of components of the respective event that are subject to registration (e.g. groups, workshops, seminars) can only be confirmed subject to the availability of the respective event. If the subsequent booking is not possible, this does not entitle you to cancel the entire event free of charge.

8. Cancellation by the organizer

The organizer reserves the right to cancel events or parts thereof at short notice if the minimum number of participants is not reached or the speaker cancels. In this case, the fee already paid by the participant will be fully refunded.

9. Force majeure, disclaimer

If the event or parts of it cannot take place due to unforeseeable economic or political events or force majeure, the organizer is entitled to cancel it. Claims for damages by the participants are then excluded. This also applies to services that the participant may have booked in connection with the originally planned event (e.g. flights, train tickets, hotel accommodation).

10. Copyrights

All conference documents of the organizer are protected by copyright. The participants are only granted a simple, non-transferable right of use for personal use. In particular, participants and third parties are not permitted to change the content or editorial content of the conference documents – even in extracts – or to use modified versions, to copy them for third parties, to make them publicly accessible or forward them, to post them on the Internet or in other networks for a fee or free of charge to imitate, resell or use them for commercial purposes. Any copyright notices, marks or trademarks may not be removed.

11. Data protection

The data provided by the participant to the organizer will only be used for the preparation and implementation of the event and possibly for information about other events of the organizer. A transfer of personal data to third parties does not take place without the express consent of the participant.

12. Limitations of Liability

If events take place in the rooms and on the property of third parties, the organizer is not liable to the participants in the event of accidents and loss or damage to their property, unless the damage is due to willful or grossly negligent behavior by employees of the organizer or other vicarious agents.

13. Applicable law, place of jurisdiction, place of performance

German law applies to the exclusion of the UN sales law (CISG agreement). As far as legally permissible, Dresden is agreed as the place of performance and jurisdiction.
